John’s dynamic family law background spans everything from litigation to negotiation and appellate advocacy — including the six years he spent as a Family Magistrate — and he leverages this vast expertise to help clients navigate domestic relations cases of all shapes and sizes. His track record speaks for itself; John has received The Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory’s highest rating, is listed in Maryland Super Lawyers (2015-present), and was named a Bethesda Magazine “Top Attorney” in 2019 & 2021 — to name just a few. Driven by his passion for oral and written client advocacy, John has appeared on more than three dozen appellate briefs and argued numerous cases before both Maryland Courts of Appeals. These appeals all tackled significant family law issues, resulting in multiple reported appellate opinions — but for John, the results he delivers for his clients are the ones that matter most. The bottom line? Whatever type of appeal you’re filing or defending against, John is here to advise you on your rights, provide practical counsel, and ardently advocate your case above all.
