Meet Zara Denison.

I’m Zara Denison, a Legal Assistant at Z Family Law. I graduated from Pennsylvania State University’s Schreyer Honors College, majoring in English in May of 2025. As someone pursuing a future in law, I knew my first step needed to be hands-on experience in a legal environment, and Z Family Law stood out immediately. I was drawn to the firm’s uplifting, positive mindset and its commitment to helping people through life’s most challenging transitions. From day one, I’ve felt welcomed by a team of kind, supportive, and genuinely funny people who make this work both meaningful and enjoyable.

My background includes a mix of legal and public-facing roles: I’ve worked as a judicial intern in rural Pennsylvania, a public relations intern in Rockville, and in restaurants as both a hostess and waitress. These experiences helped me develop strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a deep appreciation for what it means to serve others with empathy and professionalism.

While I don’t have a personal connection to family law, I’ve seen its impact on people close to me—friends, neighbors, and roommates. Those experiences have shaped my compassion for those going through family transitions and strengthened my desire to help however I can.

When I’m not at work or studying, you can find me at hot yoga, shopping, reading a good book, or watching movies. I also love spending time with my family and friends—they keep me grounded, inspired, and laughing.
