"From day one, I saw a shared dedication to empowering clients and helping them find their footing during difficult transitions."
Meet Sandy Atkins.
With over two decades of experience as a Judicial Assistant to a Circuit Court Judge—and years of work in private law firms—I bring a steady hand, deep legal knowledge, and a commitment to client-centered service to every case I support. I earned my degree in Legal Secretarial and Business Administration from The Washington School for Secretaries, and throughout my career, I’ve remained focused on helping individuals navigate legal challenges with clarity and confidence.
I was drawn to Z Family Law by its philosophy: putting clients first, prioritizing accessibility, and working as a true team. From day one, I saw a shared dedication to empowering clients and helping them find their footing during difficult transitions. It’s a mission that resonates deeply with me—not only professionally, but personally.
Years ago, I went through a contentious divorce of my own. It was an incredibly challenging chapter for me and my children, but having the right legal guidance made all the difference. That experience shaped the empathy I bring to my work and my passion for helping others move forward with strength and support.
Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and our dog, Milo. You can often find me cooking, biking, watching movies, or volunteering with seniors at Raphael House through my church, St. Raphael’s Catholic Church. I also enjoy traveling with my children, Justin and Sebastian.
