AttorneyRobert Alonso, Esquire

"Having seen how much divorce can change someone's life, I want to help others navigate that uncertainty and feel supported along the way."

Meet Robert Alonso.

Hi, I'm Robert. As an Attorney at Z Family Law, I help individuals and families navigate family law matters during some of life's most challenging transitions. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to move forward, and I strive to provide the guidance and support they need along the way.

I earned my bachelor's degree in History, with a minor in Political Science, from the University of Pittsburgh. I later earned my Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. I am admitted to practice law in Maryland and Washington, D.C.

My desire to help others through difficult times is rooted in a personal story. While I was studying for the bar exam, my parents decided to divorce. I witnessed the process firsthand and saw the devastating impact it had on my mother. With perseverance and some support from me, she was able to get through that difficult period and begin a fresh chapter of her life. Watching her navigate that experience showed me how much the right support can mean during one of life's hardest transitions.

What drew me to Z Family Law was the firm's values and how they align with who I am. I value the welcoming, helpful, and family-like atmosphere among the team. I'm glad to be part of a firm where people genuinely care about one another and bring that same sense of care to the work they do for clients.

Outside of work, I have a passion for traveling and meeting new people. I enjoy playing and watching sports and am a diehard Steelers and Knicks fan. I also like going to the gym when I can. On quieter days, you'll find me watching a good movie, reading a book, playing video games, or spending time with my dog, Cookie.
