"I have always wanted to find a way to help people through difficult moments. Working in family law allows me to turn that desire into meaningful work while helping others move toward a better future."

Meet Isabella Bauerlein.

Hi, I'm Isabella! As a Legal Assistant at Z Family Law, I support the firm's attorneys and help move clients' cases forward. My interest in family law has grown from a longstanding desire to help people navigate challenging circumstances, a passion that I hope to continue pursuing through law school.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Hood College, with minors in Sociology and Criminology & Delinquency. During my time there, I've been recognized on the Dean's List and taken on leadership roles in several academic honor societies, including serving as president of Mortar Board and Ionic Society. My studies have also given me a deeper understanding of human behavior and the circumstances that shape people's lives.

Before joining Z Family Law, I gained legal experience as a Domestic Violence Intern with the Frederick County State's Attorney's Office, where I reviewed case files and evidence and assisted with trial preparation. I also work as a Crisis Intervention Specialist, providing emotional support, conducting trauma-informed assessments, developing safety plans, and connecting individuals with community resources. These experiences have strengthened my ability to approach sensitive situations with empathy and care.

What drew me to Z Family Law was the opportunity to work alongside a team whose values align with my own. I'm excited to continue developing my legal knowledge, learn from the attorneys and staff, and be part of a team that helps families through challenging situations with professionalism, compassion, and care.

Outside of work, I love reading and playing video games! When I'm reading, you can usually find me curled up on the couch with a cozy blanket and my dog, Blossom. I also enjoy taking walks around the park and watching the ducks, as long as Blossom doesn't try to jump into the water!
